2019 Sneak Peek - Sergio Layos Sierra Frame

5 years ago Sergio Layos Projects
When it came time to work with Sergio Layos on his 2019 frame, he wanted to make a few subtle changes to the geometry to better fit his riding by giving it a mellower 74.5-degree head tube angle and a lower 11.5" bottom bracket height for a more balanced feel on transitions and trails. We've also added in a new 21.3" top tube length for the taller riders! The 2019 Sierra frame is made from seamless 4130 chromoly tubing with a 74.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.5" bottom braket height, 8.75" standover height and a 13.6" chainstay length. You can find internal gussets on the top and down tubes and an external gusset on the down tube for increased strength, tapered and butted tubing throughout, an Investment cast seat post clamp with a horizontal cut for better clamping, a Mid bottom bracket, curved stay bridges for more tire clearance, Investment cast 14mm dropouts with integrated chain tensioners and removable chainstay brake mounts using the Easy Brake System mounts and guides. The 2019 Sierra frame will be available in this sleek Metallic Grey and Flat Black colors, top tube lengths of 20.6", 21" and 21.3" and a weight of 4.85 lbs.

This frame, and our full range of 2019 complete bikes frames and parts will be available through Flybikes dealers worldwide by early December! Hit up your local shop and let them know you want Flybikes!
